How does it work?

am .

Tickoprint checks beat count, accuracy, beat error, balance amplitude and other parameters of the watch movement in the same professional manner like other professional watch analyzers. While monitoring and recording the movement sound and signal quality it automatically detects the movements beat count (bph), evaluates the elapsed time gap between the escapement entrance and exit ticks, computes the accuracy in seconds/24h and the beat deviation in milliseconds. The balance wheel oscillation - known as "amplitude" - is shown in degrees and is the most important value for evaluating the power and therefore the "health" of any mechanical movement. While running a test the display shows the traditional "running paper strip" diagram which is constantly moving forward while the test is running.

The tests can either be performed with the help of the standard headset, with the internal built-in microphone (while positioning the watch onto the device surface near the the microphone pit) or - if high-precision results are needed - with a dedicated external microphone (optional) to perform accuracy checks in different positions for traditional chronometer test and certification.

Available flavours?

am .

Tickoprint will be available in three flavors for all mentioned supported platforms, either be downloadable via Google Play or Apples iTunes after release.

Tickoprint Free provides full functionality for checking and adjusting the accuracy of all mechanical watch movements (displayed in seconds/24h). It features an automatic beat rate detection in the range of 3.600 to 36.000bph, the mentioned moving paper slip diagram with visual display of accuracy deviation and beat error. Important base parameters like integration count or balance lift angle can either be used by their default values or may be overwritten by user selectable values to achieve high precision timing results. The free version is not crippled by limits regarding the number of possible test count or particular test duration. Tickoprint will not support annoying built-in Google ad display. Nevertheless it is totally free as already mentioned.

Tickoprint Pro has all features of the free version and offers much more benefits. The diagrams X- and Y- axis resolution is selectable in predefined values for magnifying the deviation curve for deeper interpretation of timing results. Particular beat errors (oscillating gaps) of the tested movement are displayed in milliseconds. Beneath the classic watch analyzer diagram Tickoprint Pro offers the additional and outstanding "Trace" diagram type which allows precise interpretation down to single movement ticks to recover certain severe mechanical damages like worn pallet jewels and more.

Tickoprint Premium is our flag ship application which offers all benefits of the FREE and PRO version, plus a bunch of extremely useful features for sophisticated watch collectors, professional watch dealers and watchmakers:

Display of the balance amplitude in degrees
Sophisticated watch collection and watch stock inventory database for watch details, test results and watch images
Import of watch details via csv interface
Distribution of sale quotes with test results and watch images via e-Mail
Google+ interface
Facebook interface
Distribution of sale quotes, test results and watch images to Google+ and Facebook

The final feature count and licensing fees for the Tickoprint PRO and PREMIUM version has not been stated finally yet, additional features might be added before being released.

A reasonable licensing model for Tickoprint Pro and Premium will make a professional watch analyzer (with never seen outstanding additional features) easily affordable for any interested watch enthusiast.
